A release strategy is a structured plan that maps out every step of your release — from the first teaser to post-release promotion — to make sure your music launches with maximum impact.

Why you need a release strategy:

Dropping music without a plan means losing momentum. A proper strategy builds anticipation before release, drives streams on day one, and keeps your music growing in the weeks after.

What BeChorus includes in your release strategy:

Pre-Release Phase (4 to 6 weeks before)

  • Release date selection
  • Cover artwork and visual identity finalized
  • Pre-save campaign launched
  • Playlist pitching submitted
  • Teaser content created for social media
  • Press and blog outreach begins

Release Week

  • Music goes live on all platforms
  • Music video or visualizer premieres
  • Influencer content goes live
  • Paid ads campaign launches
  • Social media posts and stories go live

Post-Release Phase (2 to 4 weeks after)

  • Performance data reviewed
  • Additional content pushed (behind the scenes, lyric breakdowns, etc.)
  • Playlist follow-ups
  • Audience retargeting campaigns
  • Growth report delivered to artist

How to get a release strategy:

Contact your BeChorus artist manager at least 4 to 6 weeks before your planned release date. The earlier you start planning, the stronger your launch will be.

Remember: A great song with a poor strategy will always underperform. A great song with a great strategy gives you the best possible chance of breaking through.
